I’m Dave Kesby and my passion is developing people who develop people.

I’ve been doing this since I left my 1st career – as a leader of paratroops in the British Army – in 1997. For over 20 years I’ve been developing coaches, leaders, teams, and organisations. I do so because I love it. And because I believe everyone deserves to be led well.

Having experienced a wide array of organisations, including privately owned, publicly listed, franchises, not-for-profit, government agencies and even volunteering organisations, in all sectors from pharma, financial services, rail, health services, global tech and more recently artificial intelligence, my strongest contribution is an appreciation of organisations. Organisations are complex systems that interweave with one another and within which each of us play a part. The question is, how do we lead well within such complexity?

I am a qualified Systemic Team Coach and Executive Coach, amplified by a Masters degree in Management and Organisational Learning. My social scientist mindset enabled me to question existing mental models of teams, researching and experimenting with appreciating a separate type of high performing team within organisations. I subsequently published “Extra-Dependent Teams: Realising the Power of Similarity” which combines the best conventional wisdom on teams with lesser known, but just as powerful research on Communities of Practice. This is at the heart of how Organisational-Coaching approaches its systemic work – with individuals, teams and the wider organisational system.

At a personal level I have a wonderful family, am a local Scout Leader, play the piano, and sing in the local community choir. If you also believe everyone deserves to be led well, then I’d love to chat!
